We had a really lovely time at the cottage, everything was perfect. I’m just trying to figure out when we can come back! May 2017
Just wanted to take a moment to say how much I enjoy staying in the cottage at 18 West End. Just had another couple of days there. Not long enough. Immaculate. Compact and bijou. Lovely little court yard with sea view. Everything one might need. Safe. Secure. Peaceful. Scenic. Beautiful. Tranquil. Hearing the sea rollling in whilst drifting off to sleep....so special. I always leave a little piece of my heart there when I leave.

Thank you for a lovely stay - the cottage is beautiful and has everything you need. Weather was awful but it is Scotland! Walk the coastal path, play golf, have afternoon tea - what more could you want! Mayfield Hotel excellent, Wok & Spice OK, fish and chips in Anstruther superb!
Another lovely stay in this great cottage. Lots of walks, lots of great food along the way. East Pier Smokehouse was a new one for us - delicious food. Thanks again. PS Diving Gannet gift & coffee shop worth a visit
We had a brilliant time at St Monan's and loved the cottage. It was just perfect for us and we were able to make the most of the good weather exploring the area on foot.

We spent a week in this Haven. The website doesn't fully do it justice. So clean, well equipped and cosy. Feel really sad to be leaving. Highlights were: St Monans harbour, smokehouse pier, walking to Pittenweem and Elie on the coastal path. Tennis and putting at Elie Pavilion & the beach on a jot sunny day. Also trip to Isle of May was a great experience...........puffins galore. We will be back
Thanks for such a lovely stay. An immaculate property and absolutely super location.

Waking up in the morning and seeing the sea from the bedroom window ...stunning.St Monans is such a beautiful place. A quirky wee village of real character right on the shore. The harbour on the doorstep. The people are lovely.... really friendly and welcoming. Walks to Pitenweem and Elie.... uplifting. Weather...a-ma-zing. Perfect.Thank you for a lovely weekend. Will be back....for a holiday definitely but perhaps also to retire!! Kay Ryan, April 2014
Very comfortable cottage. Had an enjoyable week with weather pretty good - Alex & Heather Grant
We were so lucky - the liveliest week of the summer so far with lots of sunshine & high temperatures. The cottage is incredibly well equipped. There's really no need for anything to be brought, other than personal effects ad this could be stressed on the website description, as its a real bonus in terms of what's to pack. St Monans is a wonderful place to stay - I could have spent the whole week just gazing at the sea and the activities in the harbour - the fishing boats coming and going and the local children jumping off the harbour wall in the afternoon. we even spotted dolphins moving very fast along the sound! They are unmistakeable - very different from the protruding rocks I first mistook for one! The bedroom window provides an ideal vantage point, gave me fantasies about living here permanently. The East Pier Smokehouse is a great place to eat - lovely fish based food and a fresh New England feel. The Coastal Cafe in Pittenweem serves great coffee and fresh tasty lunches. Oh, out last night we had dinner next door at Craig Millar - not cheap but exquisite food - a really special end to our holiday - Toni & David Sweet, Beverley, E. Yorkshire
If you like birds you'll enjoy a boat trip from Anstruther to the Isle of May. The boat only sails once a day, time depending on the tide. We had a nice meal at The Boathouse in Anstruther. The Mayview is also very good, very friendly staff. Inland - Kellie Castle and Falkland Palace are worth visiting. We've had fantastic weather, hope it continues for the next guests - Mick & Dorian Bingham, E Yorks, July 2013
Had a lovely week here in St Monans, weather great. Enjoyed the coastal walks, the bird life and the boats coming and going. Enjoyed Kellie Castle went back to the Fife Strathspey and Reel Society Concert which was excellent. Pittenweem Arts Festival was very interesting. The cottage is very well equipped and very clean & comfortable. Hope next lot of visitors enjoy as much as we did - Austin & Margaret Forbes, Cheshire, 20/8/13
We've had a wonderful time in this 'Little Gem' of a cottage. The weather has been fantastic, haven't worn a sweater once! St Monans is such a friendly place and we've enjoyed excellent meals at The Mayview and the Smokehouse where the lobster is superb and way cheaper than St Andrews! We used the bottled water for the kettle so got rid of the slightly chemical taste of the tap water. Everything else is pretty well perfect. Many thanks - B & Doug Gillanders, Nottingham
A wonderful start to our Scotland holiday. It is our first tie in this region and we like the cost apartment and the tiny villages very much - H.L & K.W, Berlin, Sept 2013
Delightful weekend in this well equipped cottage - many thanks AP & WG Sept 2013
We have just returned from a two week stay at 18 West End, St Monans. St Monans itself was beautiful, very quiet and the locals friendly! The cottage was much more spacious than it looks from the outside, with nice decor (loved the stained glass!) and well equipped. We have really enjoyed our holiday there. The Binghams, July 2013
Great holiday. Great House. Hope to be back again soon - David Young, Carluke, June 2013
Spent a lovely 4 days in St Monans. The cottage is like a home from home. everything you would need is provided. After walking the coastal path into Pittenweem came back and sat in the patio and read my book in the lovely sunshine. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage and its location. Would definitely come back - Margaret Winstone, Glasgow, June 2013
We had a glorious short break here in this lovely comfy house. This place is well equipped and the views are stunning. The weather has been fantastic. The walks to Pittenweem and Elie are lovely. Although the fishmongers next door looks closed its not! If his car is there its open! We spent a day or two looking for a fish shop thinking it was closed! Carol & David Cummings, May 2013
No hints or tips! Just to say we spent a relaxing few days in a comfortable, well - equipped house. Good weather an added bonus. Enjoyed meals at The Ship Inn, Elie and The Waterfront, Anstruther. Hugh & Susan Dunn, Chelmsford, April 2013
A lovely wee house! We enjoyed a meal at The Mayview and the snowdrops at Cambo. Linda & Annie, Aberdeen
A very cold weekend but the house was cosy. Lily enjoyed the trucks. The Brenner Family, February 2013
