What people have said about the selected property...
Newark Castle View was excellent and very comfortable. We even had lovely weather!
I had many holidays in Elie in the past and it was lovely to visit there again.
My fiancé and I stayed there a few weekends ago whilst we went and viewed our wedding venue near St. Andrews. We wanted to experience the local are for a weekend to see what it was like and we weren't disappointed. The weather was great and the accommodation was superb.
We spent most of the time either out walking along the coastal path which is about 50metres from the house, or we were sat in the lounge upstairs looking out to the sea all evening. The property is handsomely furnished and all appliances are straight forward to use and easily accessible. Gaining access upon arrival was simple, even in the dark. We would definitely stay again. Even though it was just the 2 of us, we liked the fact that there were 2 levels of open plan areas and would happily come back with friends or family.
Fabulous fortnight of sunshine in this lovely house in the beautiful East Neuk. Enjoyed wonderful gardens (especially Kellie Castle and Cambo House) and excellent home baking (as above and also Cocoa Tree at Pittenweem and Cheese Farm). Strawberries at the farm shop were sublime. Children really liked the activities at Cairnie Strawberry Farm (trampolines, big shoots, bouncy pillows etc etc) and the Aquarium in St Andrews (penguins, seals, octopus and meer cats!). And play parks and 'private' beach all so handy.
The house is wonderful - so much light and space and so clean! Thank you for the goodies awaiting us. Some debate within our party about whether wifi would be a bonus!
ps We saw dolphins at the wee beach - what a treat!

What a terrific house on the beautiful Fife coast. As Fife residents, we looked for a place to grab a few days R&R near the beach and we haven't been disappointed... Sunny hot days on the beaches at Elie, St Andrews and the tiny 'private' beach at St Monans. Great views from upstairs, watching the storms passing and the light changing, rainbows and wildlife, silence and birdsong. The St Andrews Aquarium is a good wet weather day out - seals and fish, penguins and meerkats to keep a two year old amazed and excited. We'll miss this excellent house and will hope to return soon. Thanks for letting us enjoy this time in your amazing home.

ps Food, views and convivial hosting at East Pier Smokehouse in St Monans is a treat!!
The house is beautiful, light, spacious, amazing views. The upstairs lounge and balcony - idyllic and I could have sat there all day. The coastline is beautiful and we did a lot of walking. The weather has been lovely and bright. The chip shop at Crail is fantastic, sit in or take away and we thought it better than the one at Anstruther. The Chocolate Shop at Pittenweem is lovely. The Smoke House at St Monans does a lovely coffee/lunch and a near perfect view. The Farm Shop down the road is also very good indeed. We did the boat trip to the Isle of May - well worth the money, a really good adventure. Ice cream at Janettas in St Andrews. Thank you very much for everything - the wine, milk, biscuits were lovely!! Wiggins Family August 2014
We had a lovely time here, the balcony had a beautiful view of Newark Castle! The living areas were comfy and spacious, it is a very nice house! The fish and chip shop in Crail was really good!!! Also the Cocoa Tree Cafe in Pittenweem was super. We really enjoyed our stay here! The Wiggins Children August 2014
Thank you so much for another great stay in this exceptionally comfortable home. The setting is beautiful and so quiet, views spectacular and local amenities are excellent. We enjoyed coastal paths, cycling, windsurfing, trips to Edinburgh Fringe and shopping in St Andrews. We hope to return unless we purchase something ourselves! With much appreciation. Beautiful, comfortable and spacious house which is very well equipped and fantastically situated. We had good weather all week - thus enjoyed beaches at Elie, Anstruther, Crail, Kingsbarns and more! Cairnie Fruit Farm great for children, Scottish Deer Centre ok. Fish & chips from Crail were better than those from the famous Anstruther. Lovely wee playpark in Cupar if you've been that way. Lunch outside at the Ship Inn in Elie was very good. Rockpools at Crail and little playpark super for the wee one. We walked to and from St Monans along the coastal path and had a look inside the church and had coffees and scones at the East Pier Smokehouse. Thank you for the very informative folder on Old St Monans! Very interesting indeed. Many thanks indeed, Morag & David, Marianne (7) and Charlotte (2). July 2014
This cottage is beautifully presented and modern with excellent access to the east neuk coastal walk. The view from the balcony is stunning especially at sunset. Look forward to another sunny weekend at the cottage.

We had a short break here at the beginning of March and were very fortunate to have brilliant weather. It is a really lovely house with everything you could possibly need for a super holiday. The house is light, airy, spacious and comfortable with lovely views. We were fascinated by the ECO aspects of its design with underfloor heating, solar heating, fresh air recycling, air source heat pump, PV panels, triple glazing. Obviously well thought out and caring of the environment. The location is superb, quiet and private but not completely isolated. The coastal walks in both directions were really good and there are lots of very interesting and picturesque places to visit nearby. St andrews is also worth a trip if you can drag yourself away from relaxing in that lovely house. Would certainly love to return

The house is stunning and the perfect place to get away from everything. The setting is idyllic, with views out to sea and easy access to local walks. Looking out from the balcony at night it’s lovely to see local lighthouses twinkling in the darkness! The house itself is beautifully decorated and all your needs are well catered for. During a visit with friends we enjoyed using the kitchen and living area to relax, eat and just while the hours away. Bliss! Locally there are the towns of St Monans and Elie, which are lovely and quaiant and offer some great independent wee shops- great for a browse. Further afield there’s anstruther (enjoy the chippie!). Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone

I stayed here with a group of friends for a weekend. The house is beautifully decorated and very cosy! I loved the underfloor heating system, a nice touch! The house is equipped with everything you could need! The top floor lounge was stunning and defiantly my favourite part of the house! There are plenty of beaches and historic sites to see, I was not disappointed. I would definitely stay in this gorgeous house again!

Spent a lovely weekend here with friends mid-feb 2012. We only left the house for food and a few walks to explore! The house has a beautiful setting overlooking the sea, has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. There are plenty of amenities and places to explore in nearby quaint villages and beautifully kept beaches. Definitely a lovely place to relax and recharge the batteries. Thank you!
Mrs Duffy Feb 2012
Lovely house with absolutely everything that you need! The sitting room upstairs was my favourite place to sit and take in the views. Stayed here with a group of friends for a relaxing break, there are some beautiful walks nearby and a ruined castle at the end of your driveway! The house is really well decorated with some lovely furniture, would love to return!

Stayed here in early February, walks along the coast are right on your door lovely little towns of Elie and St Monans are within walking distance, nice pubs and local shops. Had chippy from anstruther one night and Chinese the next!!! Lazy I know but we were on our holidays. This is a lovely place to kick back and relax, views are breathtaking and agree that photos do not do it justice much larger than I expected. Beautiful interior and well laid out so many bathrooms you need to stay at least a week to sample them all, especially upstairs where the views from your shower are immense. Hope to return here soon, you will not be disappointed. -

An excellent New Year spent in St. Monans. The house is modern and spacious, tastefully decorated, and has a quality finish throughout. We particularly loved the balcony - beautiful views over the Firth of Forth. Only a 2 minute walk down to the beach as well- can’t recommend it highly enough!

Had the most wonderful time here with a group of girlfriends. The house has been very tastefully decorated, the photographs do not do it justice! It is spacious, has everything you need and the views are spectacular. We enjoyed the local restaurants (Chinese take away - mmm) walks along Elie beach and around the castle, and just spending time together away from our hectic lives. It really is the perfect location for getting away from it all and I will be coming back with my family hopefully very soon
We have just spent a wonderful week at Newark Castle View. Loved the house and location and really wished we were there for 2 weeks not just one!
