Luxury second floor self-catering apartment on two levels situated a prestigious location in central St Andrews, just a three-minute walk from the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and the first tee of the Old Course, with a wide choice of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs within a short stroll of the front door. Four bedrooms (3 of which are en-suite), extra bathroom, spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, golf club and bike storage and attractive communal garden grounds.

The apartment comprises the second and third floors of a historic listed building and, therefore, not suitable for those who cannot manage stairs, or very young children.

GALLEY KITCHEN - the kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking, albeit lack of space might not permit the preparation of a five-course gourmet meal! With so many excellent restaurants within a short walk, we suspect that you might not be doing too much cooking anyway. The equipment includes a combination microwave oven, twin induction hobs, fridge, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. The kitchen also has a plumbed in coffee machine to make waking up that little bit easier. All appliances are by Miele and of the highest quality.

The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a flat(the only draw back ) which makes it best for adults who can climb the stairs. Once in, it is a lovely apartment. Worked well for 4 couples here to visit and play some golf. The kitchen, though small, was very efficient. Nice dining/living room for gathering. Very convenient to St. Andrews course, shopping and dining in town. Lisa was great and accommodating our earlier arrival. Would highly recommend.

Easy access to everything, golf course, town, bus station all within walking distance. The home was very comfortable. Big rooms with comfortable beds
I would caution the elderly. There are over 50 steps up to the actual flat. Was very difficult for two of our party who had difficulty with walking to begin with. Once inside it was very spacious and has a built-in plumbed coffee machine of which I want one!. Well designed kitchen.

We stayed at Howard Place for my niece's graduation for a week. My 85 year old mom, husband, sisters and daughter loved the luxurious accommodations which included a state of the art small kitchen. St. Andrews is centrally located for multiple day trips to a vast array of nearby attractions in Scotland. St. Andrews itself is a wonderful playground for young and old. Thanks so much to Carolyn and Lisa for your immediate replies to all questions and requests. We highly recommend this property without reservation.

12 Howard is simply an outstanding place to stay when visiting St.Andrews. Spent a week there recently with 2 other couples and we fell in love with this apartment/ townhouse. There is nothing that you don't have. 2 kitchens, great bedrooms , beautiful baths, and a backyard area that is so peaceful and tranquil. The location is outstanding and St. Andrews is such an outstanding place. Yes we golfed; yet the town, the historical background, the University all contribute to a very unique and special atmosphere.

On a golf trip , 4 couples stayed at this apartment. The manager was great and very welcoming. The kitchen is small but worked for having our breakfasts at the flat. The pantry was stocked with essentials and even some gin and scotch. It took some trying to figure out the coffee maker but once we did it made great coffee. The washer and dryer on the second floor came in very handy. We had space to relax and unwind after a day of golf. We could walk to restaurants for dinner or go out for an evening gelato. Would highly recommend staying here.
